Drew is a Special Counsel and is an experienced corporate and commercial lawyer, who also advises on estate planning and succession matters. In his corporate and commercial practice, Drew provides corporate governance, regulatory compliance, major contract and capital raising advice to local and international clients on significant business transactions and projects.
Drew’s experience covers a diverse range of industries, including major international and national retailers and suppliers of consumer goods and services, sporting organisations, primary industries (including coal supplies), financial services, information technology, general industries, transportation, professional services associations and charities.
Drew originally joined the firm in 2009 and returned to the firm after working for a national firm from 2017 to 2019. Prior to joining Harris Carlson, Drew gained experience in a New Zealand firm in a variety of general practice areas (including general commercial advice, litigation and estate planning and succession), before moving to Melbourne – working first as a senior estate planning lawyer for State Trustees and then as a senior lawyer in ASIC’s Regulation Directorate.
Drew holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts (Political Science) from Canterbury University in New Zealand. He has been admitted to practice in New Zealand, Victoria and the High Court of Australia.
